Comedian Lee Kyung-sil revealed that she sobbed at a recording studio over singer Cho Young-nam's outrageous remarks.
The MBN variety program 'Sokpuri Show Dongchimi,' which aired on the 26th, was specially prepared as an 'I Live Alone' special for Chuseok.
In that broadcast, Lee shared an experience she had while filming 'Experience! The Real World of Life' with Cho Young-nam when she was pregnant with her second child.
Lee began by saying, "It was hard to work while carrying a child in my belly. I told the production team several times that I wanted them to take a break from the program, but they said, 'Since you're just sitting down, keep going.' Since I was doing other programs as well, it was too exhausting. On that day, I asked them again to let me rest, but they wouldn't listen, so it was a sad day."
She added, "When filming 'Experience! The Real World of Life,' I always arrive first, watch all the footage of the participants' work, and prepare. Then Cho Young-nam shows up late and asks questions from the viewers' perspective."
She continued, "On that day, I was so exhausted when (Cho Young-nam) came in and said, 'Oppa, you're here?' But as soon as he saw my pregnant belly with the audience and staff present, he loudly said, 'Wow, your belly is getting bigger. It looks like it's about to burst.'"
She then explained, "I had already told the production team that I couldn't go on because I was so tired, and when he spoke to me in such a way while I was in a bad mood, you can imagine how sensitive I was at the time." She opened up about how upset she felt back then.
At this, Lee expressed great anger toward Cho Young-nam and vented her frustration. She said, "I had already told them I was quitting because it was so hard. Why did Oppa have to embarrass me in front of so many people? Do we really need to say things like that? I was really struggling," as she burst into tears.
She continued, "(Cho) seemed surprised. Once I started crying, I couldn't stop. When I sobbed, the audience ladies said, 'That's Cho Young-nam's fault!' He should have just admitted his mistake there, but with his signature expression, he pretended not to know." She explained the situation at the time.
She added, "Cho said, 'I mentioned that your belly came out a lot.' Then the ladies also said, 'Please be quiet!' Since they've all given birth, they should side with me. But since he kept talking, I said, 'Shut up!'" She smiled while recalling this.
Afterward, Lee attended the next filming of 'Experience! The Real World of Life' despite being heavily pregnant and received a flower gift from Cho Young-nam.
She recalled, "We were filming the following week when someone brought flowers. Cho was so embarrassed and ashamed that he couldn't even bring them himself. Someone else brought them, and the bouquet was huge."
However, Cho once again did something strange, angering Lee Kyung-sil.
Lee said, "At that time, his girlfriend who was with us said, 'Unnie, Oppa Yeong-nam gave you a flower bouquet last week to apologize for his mistake, so please cheer up.' So I said, 'I've forgotten everything.' He should have just stayed quiet, but then (Cho) again said, 'Wow, since I was born into this world, you are the first woman I have ever given a flower bouquet to,' and added, 'You know how flustered I was when I mentioned your belly last week and you started crying and wailing everywhere.'"
She continued, "When I said, 'I don't want it! Take it back!' (Cho) explained, 'Aren't I saying sorry because I'm sorry?' and received an apology."
