Model and actress Jang Yoon-ju has begun life in the United Kingdom with her family to support her husband's late-life academic challenge.
Jang posted a video on her YouTube channel on the 3rd, stating, "After three years of deliberation, I have come to the UK with my family."
The move to the UK stemmed from the academic aspirations of her husband, designer Jeong Seung-min (CEO). After balancing his job and self-studying for the TOEFL for about a year, Jeong (CEO) was accepted into a master's program at a graduate school in London, UK.
Jang Yoon-ju said, "About three years ago, my husband said he wanted to study again," adding, "That is when (the deliberation) began." She continued, "It is not that we are leaving entirely. We will come and go if there is work," while also noting, "(Having to live in the UK for a long time) is unsettling in many ways."
Jang stated, "For the past two to three years, I kept saying, 'I am not going. You go alone,'" explaining, "But then I thought, 'If I don't go now, I won't be able to go in the future either,' so we decided to go together."
She also shared candid thoughts on her career and life. She said, "When I meet friends, I often hear them say they have 'no energy' or 'nothing they want to do.' I think I am at that age now too. I wondered why I cannot rest. What is so unsettling?"
She added, "Living here might make something stir again within me," and further stated, "Watching my husband's late-life academic challenge, I want to find what I can immerse myself in and continue pursuing for the next 10, 15, or 20 years."
