Actress Lee Hui-hyang revealed the current status of her only son, whom she raised alone, noting that it has been 20 years since her husband's passing.
Lee appeared on the web variety show "Song Seung-hwan's Wonderful Life," released on the 6th, and stated, "My husband passed away in 2006. It has been exactly 20 years."
When asked if there were any difficulties in raising her son alone, she replied, "The child was already very good at managing his own affairs" and added, "At that time, the child was already a college student."
She continued, "I just needed to be good at acting unconditionally," reflecting on how she was able to focus on her acting career.
She also shared that her son is currently writing. When Song Seung-hwan asked if he had inherited his mother's talent, Lee said, "No. My husband was exceptionally skilled at writing."
When Song Seung-hwan asked if he had inherited the late husband's talent for lyric writing and composition, Lee answered, "Yes."
Lee married the late Kim Doo-jo in 1982; he was 19 years her senior. They have one son. Kim was reportedly a former boss of an organized crime group in the Pohang region, and it is reported that he left gang life after their marriage.
