Koo Jun-yeop, the husband of the late Taiwanese actress Xu Siyuan (Seo Hee-won), who visited her grave, stated that he has no plans to return to Korea.
According to Taiwan’s iFeng News and others on the 7th, Koo Jun-yeop visited Xu Siyuan’s (Seo Hee-won) grave located in Jinbao Mountain, New Taipei City, Taiwan, the previous day. It was Xu Siyuan’s 48th birthday that day.
Koo Jun-yeop began visiting the grave around 9 a.m. to prepare for his wife’s birthday. Amidst the rain, he set up umbrellas and chairs, and decorated the area around the grave with pink flowers that Xu Siyuan had liked. He was also captured looking at photos and videos taken together with Xu Siyuan after fans who had visited the grave left. During this time, Koo Jun-yeop could not control his emotions and shed tears for a while.
Around 12 p.m., Xu Siyuan’s mother, older sister Xu Shixian, younger sister Xu Sidi (Seo Hee-je), actor Chen Jianzhou, singer Pan Weichi, and other family members and acquaintances visited the grave. They wore pink-toned clothes that Xu Siyuan had liked during her lifetime and prepared cake and champagne. They sat around the grave, chatting and sharing stories, and some shed tears.
About two hours later, the family and acquaintances left, but Koo Jun-yeop remained alone. He wore a raincoat, personally tidied up the tablet PC, remaining cake, chairs, umbrellas, and other items, and then left the grave.
When asked on site to express his feelings for Xu Siyuan, Koo Jun-yeop said in English, “I just still love her.” He then answered briefly and firmly, “No,” when asked if he had plans to return to Korea to live or stay with his mother. When asked if Xu Siyuan appeared in his dreams, he replied, “Of course.”
Xu Siyuan’s younger sister, Xu Sidi (Seo Hee-je), also posted photos taken at the grave with family and acquaintances on social media that day. Xu Sidi wrote, “Today is my sister’s birthday, so of course we came to celebrate her birthday,” adding, “We sat by her side, crying and laughing, talking about our stories and how much we miss her.”
Xu Siyuan passed away suddenly last February due to acute pneumonia while traveling in Japan.
Koo Jun-yeop and Xu Siyuan first met and began dating in 1998, but broke up after about a year. Later, when Xu Siyuan divorced Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei in 2021, Koo Jun-yeop reached out again after more than 20 years, leading to their reunion, and they married in 2022.
