Director Jang Jin expressed his joy at Director Jang Hang-jun's success.
On the 12th, a video featuring actor Jung Woong-in and Director Jang Jin, both class of 1989 from Seoul Arts University, was released on the YouTube channel 'Cheap Bro Shin Dong-yeop'.
Jung Woong-in mentioned his fellow classmates from the class of 1989 at Seoul Arts University: comedians Lee Dong-woo and Kim Jin-soo, actor Kim Na-un, the late Song Young-gyu, and Jang Hyun-sung.
Upon hearing this, Director Jang Jin said, "How can you talk without mentioning Jang Hang-jun?"

In response, Jung Woong-in praised them, saying, "Jang Jin and Jang Hang-jun are legendary. Among our classmates, only two people with the surname Jang became directors."
Then, Director Jang Jin evaluated, "Please judge Jang Hang-jun differently. He does not play in my league; Hang-jun is in a higher tier."
He continued, "Honestly, I am very happy that Hang-jun is doing well."
He added, "I now think I might be able to get a meal from Hang-jun while I am still alive."
Shin Dong-yeop then teased, "But when Jang Jin was doing well, you were not that happy about it, were you?"
Jung Ho-cheol shared, regarding Director Jang Hang-jun's reaction when Director Jang Jin was nominated at the Baeksang Arts Awards, "He said he was anxious in case he would win. He said he cheered loudly when he did not win."
Hearing this, Jung Woong-in reacted, "That is also part of being human. It exists deep within a person; they just did not express it."
Director Jang Jin said, "Awards are too meaningless. We make films for the audience, not to compete, right? It is not a record-breaking game or the Olympics."
He further stated his conviction, "I completely disappointed the audience and took criticism, then reflected on it. But just because I was given the Best Director award at year's end, does that make me a different person? The game is over anyway."

When Shin Dong-yeop said, "Even so, it must feel really good to see Director Jang Hang-jun doing well," Jung Woong-in gave an intense reaction that brought laughter, saying, "He is incredibly arrogant, incredibly arrogant. Oh my, his attitude is extremely smug."
He then revealed his affection, saying, "He is arrogant, but I know it. We meet often and have a drink. (Whether before or now) he expresses himself the same way. I like that about him."
Jung Ho-cheol asked, "These days, people say 'cheerful.' They say if you act 'cheerful' because 'The Man Who Lives with the King' did well, they will not watch it much. Does that mean he is consistently the same without any of that?"
In response, Director Jang Jin said, "I have not seen him recently and hope I do not meet him in the future either. It is obvious even without seeing him. If he meets me, he will say, 'Jang Jin, are you preparing a work? Let me read it once for you,' imitating the scene to bring laughter."
He then said seriously, "I am very happy that Hang-jun is doing well," causing everyone to burst into laughter.
Director Jang Hang-jun's film "The Man Who Lives with the King" surpassed 15 million viewers in March, becoming the highest-grossing domestic film in Korean history. Director Jang Jin is a filmmaker and screenwriter who handled the screenplay and production of "Welcome to Dongmakgol," and served as screenwriter and director for films such as "A Woman's Story" and "The Chaser."
