A woman from a beauty pageant was shown constantly making her boyfriend run errands and clashing with him over the cost of dates.
On the 12th, JTBC's variety program "Love War" featured Lee Ju-hyang, a former Miss World Korea beauty queen, and her boyfriend Park Jin-sung.
The couple, who have been dating for four years, revealed that their conflicts deepened after Lee won an award at a beauty pageant earlier this year. Currently, Lee runs a clothing brand, while Park is preparing to take the exam to become a nutritionist. On the day of the broadcast, Lee herself stated that she had been told she resembles Karina from the group aespa. She also said that when she was younger, people told her she looked like actresses Lee Na-young and Han Ye-seul.
In response, Seo Jang-hoon expressed concern, saying, "I'm worried today, but will it be okay?" He appeared flustered. Lee Hyo-ri commented, "Ju-hyang has her own unique charm. But she doesn't resemble Karina."
The broadcast also revealed the couple's daily dating life.
Lee enjoyed what is known as "bread pilgrimage," visiting famous bakeries and cafes. She traveled for one hour and 40 minutes to buy bread, or waited three hours to eat a salt bread. Amidst scorching heat with an apparent temperature exceeding 40 degrees, Park was seen struggling while standing in line with his girlfriend.
Additionally, Lee asked her boyfriend to buy cosmetics during their dates and demanded that he keep taking photos at pool parties. While carrying his girlfriend's luggage and running various errands, Park did not show much dissatisfaction. In an interview with the production team, Lee said, "My boyfriend has to do everything I tell him to. He must not rebel. I consider myself the one in charge."
The burden of dating costs was also revealed. The amount spent by the couple after visiting six cafes in a single day was 192,800 won. Park confessed, "Honestly, the cost of dates is a burden. Also, I can't understand going to six dessert shops in one day." He added, "With that money, I think I would eat samgyeopsal and drink soju."
When the production team asked if he should be receiving a salary since he works like his girlfriend's manager, Park replied, "It's fine because I'm doing it for my girlfriend."
Watching this, Lee Hyo-ri expressed worry, saying, "I feel uneasy. Devotion without a salary has never had a good ending."
