Webtoon artist and TV personality Kian84, whose real name is Kim Hee-min, is once again facing scrutiny over his hygiene habits after former volleyball player Kim Yeon-koung revealed that he had gone three days without changing his underwear.
In the ninth episode of the recently released Netflix variety show "Kian's Bizarre B&B 2," the staff members of the guesthouse were shown heading out for a meal at a barbecue restaurant.
On the way to the restaurant, Kim Yeon-koung brought up how Kian84 had farted in front of a group of people on the third night of their stay.
When TV personality Dex asked whether she had checked Kian84's underwear at the time, Kim replied, "He had already gone three days without changing his underwear. I checked." She added, "No wonder he changed it once after that day."
Later, while exchanging greetings via video call with guests preparing to enlist in the military, Kim asked them about hygiene in the armed forces. "Is the military harder than Kian's B&B? Do you absolutely have to wash in the military? Do you have to maintain cleanliness?" she asked.
When Dex replied, "You can get in trouble under military law if you don't wash," Kim turned to Kian84 and quipped, "Then did you learn the wrong things in the military?" Her remark drew laughter, and Dex also burst out laughing, saying, "She caught him off guard."
Mentioning his military service experience, Kian84 said, "They kept telling me to wash up in the army, so it's not entirely untrue that I lost the desire to wash up after returning to civilian life."
When Kim expressed curiosity about why Kian 84 was lying on the bed while drenched in sweat, he retorted, "Every time you tell me to wash up, I get reminded of my trauma. Officers like you made me develop a sense of resistance."
He continued, "Why do you keep telling me to wash up? I will wash up when I want to," emphasizing, "I do wash up. At the timing I want to," which drew laughter.
Kim has pointed out Kian84's hygiene habits on broadcasts multiple times in the past. She criticized instances where Kian84 did not properly rinse dishes after washing them or failed to change his underwear even after finishing a shower in just three minutes.
Among netizens who watched the broadcast, there were comments pointing out that since the program involves hosting guests, more attention should be paid to hygiene management.
