Actor Kim Yong-gun (80) said that he has not received specific details regarding the wedding date for his son Ha Jung-woo (48, birth name Kim Seong-hun) and Cha Jeong-won (36, birth name Cha Mi-young).
According to OSEN on Wednesday, Kim said of Ha's wedding news, "Has a date been set? Even as their father, I don't really know," adding, "The kids are grown up, so they handle things themselves."
He continued, "If they had picked a date, they would have said, 'We've set it for this day, so please keep the time open,' but I haven't received any separate contact," and added, "It seems the news came out first."
When asked how he hopes his son will live going forward, Kim replied, "Just as people often say, if they can live happily and well, that's enough. Marriage is a promise for life and holding a wedding ceremony, so as long as they live well, it's fine."
He then added, "It's enough if they live healthily and happily. There is nothing else," and further stated, "If only he would bring me a grandchild to hold, I would be even more grateful."
Meanwhile, Ha and Cha have been dating for about six years since 2020, and are reportedly scheduled to hold their wedding ceremony in December.
