Seo In-young (42), a member of the group Jewelry, took on the challenge of the Japanese gyaru style (the Japanese pronunciation of "girl").
On the 14th, a video titled "First Look at Seo In-young’s Ultimate Gyaru Look That Leaves Japanese People Stunned" was uploaded to Seo In-young’s YouTube channel.
Seo In-young visited Akasaka in Tokyo for her gyaru experience. Recalling that she had worn smoky makeup around 2011, Seo In-young confidently stated, "It wasn’t a gyaru-style makeup look, but I wore such heavy makeup that gyaru girls would say it looked cool on me."
When Seo In-young appeared in a hot pink mini dress from a gyaru shop that fully exposed her shoulders and legs, the production crew exclaimed, "It suits you perfectly." Humming Lee Hyori’s song "10 Minutes," Seo In-young remarked, "This feels like something my hyung-nim (older sister) Hyori would wear."
However, as soon as Seo In-young struck an at-ease pose, the production crew noted, "Your accessory breasts are showing," and asked her to pull up her outfit. In response, Seo In-young snapped back, "Accessory breasts are just part of my anatomy. The costume is tight around here (my chest), so what am I supposed to do?" Her sharp reaction drew laughter.

After trying on a black leopard-print dress and a white halter-neck mini dress, Seo In-young ultimately chose the hot pink outfit she had worn first. She then completed her transformation into a "Yamamba Gyaru" by adding a blonde wig and darkening her face with makeup.
Looking in the mirror, Seo In-young expressed satisfaction, saying, "I feel like I’ve found my face." While feeling shy under people’s gazes on the street, she actively posed for various shots upon meeting a photographer, demonstrating her professional demeanor.
