BLACKPINK's Lisa revealed an anecdote about asking a male date to pay for their meal during a dinner with her mother, only to be refused.
Lisa shared her views on dating during an appearance on the U.S. podcast "Therapuss with Jake Shane," released on the 29th of last month. When the host asked about behaviors she is most wary of in a partner, Lisa brought up a story involving a sushi restaurant.
Lisa said that she went to a sushi restaurant that she, her mother, and her best friend often visit together. "I jokingly asked, 'Will you pay for our meal? Will you cover the bill?' and he said 'No,'" she recounted. When asked if this was a red flag or not, the host sided with Lisa, saying, "Even if it was a joke, he should have said yes."
Lisa explained that she had thought he was planning to surprise her later. "But there was no surprise. I paid," she revealed. She added, "Men don't need to pay for every meal. I have money too," while explaining, "That day was a bit different because my mother was with me."
As for positive signs in a relationship, she cited small acts of consideration done without being asked, such as opening a water bottle for her.
Lisa had previously shared the difficulty of keeping her romance secret while working as a K-pop artist in the documentary "Always LALISA." She released her new solo mini-album "PRESS PLAY" on the 23rd of last month, which includes six tracks, including the title song "Tarantino."
