Comedian Kim Won-hyo revealed that he lost approximately 200 million won in investments and nearly divorced his wife, Shim Jin-hwa.
The KBS2 variety show 'Malja Show,' which aired on Monday, was themed as "Husband Special Part 1: Husbands Have Something to Say Too," featuring comedians Kim Won-hyo and Song Jun-geun.
On the broadcast, Kim confessed that he had experienced a divorce crisis with his wife, Shim Jin-hwa.

Kim Won-hyo said, "Our family had never faced such a crisis, but when people do things they have never done before, crises arise."
He said, "Everything was going well in my business, but when I tried investing in stocks or something I didn't know about, all our assets vanished completely. News reports said 'all assets became zero won,' but it wasn't the entire family's assets; rather, all the assets I personally held became zero won."
Regarding the scale of the wealth he lost at the time, Kim confessed, "One or two sheets? About 200 million won."

Speaking about his wife Shim's reaction at the time, Kim said, "It is actually better when a person gets angry. Not getting angry is scarier. You don't know what state they are in, right?"
He continued, "Of course, I was wrong. My wife had trusted me all along, but wasn't that trust broken at that moment? What matters is how the person who made the mistake makes up for it. Since I worked hard to make things right afterward, we are barely getting by."
Kim married fellow comedian Shim Jin-hwa in 2011.
