Singer and actress Nana, who has been struggling with malicious online comments after publicly acknowledging her romance with T.O.P, appealed for respect for her privacy, asking, "What great wrong have I committed?"
On the 5th, Nana posted a lengthy message containing this content on her Instagram.
Nana began by saying, "I want to convey something to those who call themselves fans but deliberately write malicious posts while ignoring my choices and freedom due to my public acknowledgment of the romance."
She added, "I ask you to calmly reflect on what you expect and desire from celebrities, and specifically from me as a person."
He stated, "I have tried to understand all your words and actions, but I do not understand. What great wrong have I committed? Have you suffered any harm because of me? Have I caused a moral controversy?"
She emphasized, "To be precise, regarding the romance and the process of acknowledging it, this is my private life and my life," adding, "I do not think there is anything for me to apologize for."
She further explained, "The part I should apologize for is having caused those who were not truly fans in my view to be subjected to criticism and hurt that they did not need to hear, see, or feel because of me."
Nana urged, "Please do not hurt the fans who love and respect me as a human being, beyond the framework of being a celebrity. Please stop causing harm," adding, "I sincerely apologize to the fans who have been quietly enduring this."
Nana acknowledged her romance with T.O.P, a former member of BIGBANG, in October last year. The two are known to have developed their relationship into a romantic one in June last year after meeting through the filming of T.O.P's music video. On the 2nd, images of the couple visiting T.O.P's birthday cafe together were released, sparking attention.
