Solid-state electrolyte specialist Solivis announced on the 13th that it successfully secured 230 billion won in Series C funding and was simultaneously selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' scale-up program.
Openwater Investment and Slgi Asset Management participated in this investment round. Established in 2020, Solivis has now accumulated a total of 652 billion won in funding, including this round. Alongside securing investment, the company was also selected for two government-backed initiatives under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups: 'Super-Distance Global Deep Tech' and 'Unicorn Bridge,' both part of the 2026 scale-up program targeting deep tech companies.
Solivis plans to deploy the newly secured 230 billion won in funding, along with government infrastructure support, to expand its production capacity for sulfide-based solid-state electrolytes, a key material for all-solid-state batteries. Specifically, the company aims to enhance process automation at its Yangsan facility and diversify its proprietary high-performance materials line to accelerate business collaborations with global battery manufacturers.
Currently, Solivis operates an annual 36-ton capacity Yangsan factory in Hwaseong, Gangwon Province, leveraging over 150 patents and its proprietary 'Third-Generation Wet Synthesis Yangsan Platform' technology.
According to SNE Research, a global market research institution, the all-solid-state battery market is projected to grow from 2.1 trillion won in 2023 to 12 trillion won by 2026.
Shin Dong-wook, CEO of Solivis, stated, "Building on the secured funding, we will maximize our Yangsan competitiveness and lead the global all-solid-state battery materials market. We will respond swiftly to market demands based on our differentiated technological capabilities."
