On the 7th, domestic medical robot startup MedinTech announced that it participated in the 2026 Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (KSGE Days 2026) held on the 4th–5 and presented its AI robot endoscope 'INTION S' and lesion detection software 'INTION DEEPEYE' to medical professionals.
MedinTech set up an exhibition booth and introduced the main functions and utilization plans of the two products to domestic gastrointestinal endoscopy medical staff. The booth was equipped with an endoscopy simulator, allowing medical professionals to directly experience INTION S's AI autonomous steering function. According to the company, over 200 medical professionals and industry representatives visited the MedinTech booth to participate in product demonstrations at this event.
INTION S is an AI robot endoscope system that electrifies the operation method of conventional manual endoscopes. It focuses on reducing weight compared to existing equipment and lowering the burden on fingers and wrists during the operation process. By applying AI-based autonomous steering functions, it assists medical professionals in operating the endoscope during examinations and supports the execution of precise surgical techniques.
The accompanying INTION DEEPEYE is an AI software that can also be applied to existing endoscopy equipment. It consists of CADe (Computer-Aided Detection) to assist in detecting abnormal areas during endoscopic examinations, and CADx (Computer-Aided Diagnosis) to analyze detected lesions and classify whether they are cancerous. MedinTech recently completed domestic regulatory approval for its CADx software.
MedinTech plans to build an intelligent endoscopy room that links INTION S and INTION DEEPEYE to support medical professionals from endoscope operation to lesion detection and analysis.
The company's participation in this conference was held to expand touchpoints with medical professionals ahead of product commercialization and domestic supply expansion. MedinTech previously signed a domestic distribution agreement with DK Healthcare and also presented its products at the International Endoscopy Network (IDEN) Academic Conference last June.
MedinTech plans to expand opportunities for product trials targeting domestic institutional investors and will officially begin domestic supply based on distribution cooperation with DK Healthcare.
Lee Chi-won, CEO of MedinTech, stated, "This KSGE Days event was an opportunity to introduce INTION S's electrification method and AI autonomous steering function to medical professionals who actually use endoscopes and to gather feedback from the field." He added, "As we expand touchpoints with medical professionals, we will focus on commercialization and supply expansion to improve product usability and ensure it can be utilized in domestic medical settings."
