AI agent startup Enhance said Thursday that it has secured 51.2 billion won in Series C funding. The cumulative investment amount has increased to 81 billion won.
In this investment, existing shareholder Time Portfolio Asset Management and new investor Stonebridge Ventures participated as co-lead investors. IMM Investment, Stick Ventures, POSCO Technology Investment, LG CNS, and Lotte Ventures also joined as new investors. Existing shareholders such as L&S Venture Capital, AOA Capital Partners, KT Investment, and Hyundai Technology Investment conducted follow-on investments.
Notably, subsidiaries of the POSCO, LG, and Lotte groups that have already implemented Enhance's solutions in actual work environments joined as investors. An Enhance representative stated, "This is the first time a customer group subsidiary has made a strategic investment in Enhance."
Enhance is a startup developing an enterprise AI agent operating system (AgentOS). It structures data and business rules scattered across internal corporate systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) into 'Ontology'—a technology that connects the meaning and relationships of fragmented data. Based on this, it supports AI agents in judging situations and performing actual work tasks.
Its key feature is independence from specific AI models. It is designed to allow companies to utilize their own data and business knowledge while directly managing the AI's judgment and execution processes. The goal goes beyond simple information retrieval and analysis, aiming to connect to the stage where AI directly performs tasks. Currently, it is expanding its application areas into manufacturing, finance, retail, healthcare, public sector, and defense.
Enhance explained that during this funding round, it received high evaluations for its customer references gained by building and operating AI solutions in actual large corporate work environments, as well as its data and business connectivity technology based on ontology.
The investment funds will be used to advance the data, process, and execution infrastructure of AgentOS. The company plans to enhance technology so that AI can understand and accumulate not only data and documents stored in systems but also the decision-making criteria and work methods of frontline experts.
It will also develop 'Industry Packs' containing industry-specific data structures and business rules for sectors such as manufacturing, finance, retail, and public services. This is to enable companies to utilize these from the early stages of AgentOS adoption in actual work.
The company will also expand 'Computer Use' technology—which manipulates websites and software like a human to perform tasks—across the entire AgentOS platform. It plans to strengthen security and governance technologies, secure global technical and business personnel, and increase overseas customers and partners.
Song Young-don of StonebridgeJi Ben-cheo-seu (SVP) stated, "As enterprise AI transitions from simply providing answers to the agent stage that directly performs tasks, Enhance holds an AI agent operating system product that has been validated through multiple customers. We expect it to continue its growth by expanding its business beyond the domestic market into the global market."
Previously, Enhance secured Series B funding in January last year and received strategic investment from Naver Ventures in April this year. This marks the first time Naver Ventures has invested in a company headquartered in Korea.
