Samsung Electronics said Thursday that it has signed an MOU with DH Plus, a professional real estate developer, to provide integrated B2B operation solutions including AI appliances, 'SmartThings Pro,' and the building integration solution 'b.IoT' for the 'Grants Forest Park' development project underway in Cebu, Philippines.
DH Plus is a specialized real estate developer advancing high-end residential and hotel/resort projects domestically and internationally, and will lead the Grants Forest Park development project this time.
Grants Forest Park is a premium complex being developed based on cutting-edge 'AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things).' Targeting completion by 2030, the approximately 20,000-pyeong site will include three residential towers, one hotel tower, and private villas. Commercial facilities offering experiences in K-beauty and K-food, a membership-based 'Grants Club,' an international school, and more are also planned.
The complex will feature walking paths connected to a mangrove ecological park, providing residents and visitors with an eco-friendly lifestyle that allows them to enjoy rest and leisure in nature.
Samsung Electronics plans to build customized AI homes linked with AI appliances and 'SmartThings' in the residential facilities of this complex and will introduce 'SmartThings Pro,' a B2B connection and integrated control platform, to ensure safe and efficient complex operations.
Various AI appliances such as TVs, air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines will be applied in residences and hotels. Residents and guests can enjoy the 'AI Home' with just one SmartThings login. By integrating device control within rooms through SmartThings, spaces can be used more conveniently. Residential facility managers can remotely check equipment status via 'SmartThings Pro.' The key feature is the ability to operate facilities efficiently and swiftly while minimizing on-site visits in case of issues.
For managing common areas such as community facilities and swimming pools, as well as infrastructure equipment like hot water supply and boiler systems, Samsung's building integration solution b.IoT will be introduced. b.IoT is a solution that integrates control and management of HVAC, lighting, and power systems, improving building energy usage efficiency through energy algorithms. It supports more systematic complex operations by linking with SmartThings Pro to analyze electricity consumption and charges per household.
Samsung Electronics plans to apply b.IoT in commercial facilities, hotels, and international schools to enhance operational and management efficiency. Using digital twin technology that creates a 3D (three-dimensional) representation of actual buildings, it can monitor key equipment status and predict maintenance timing. AI agents can also integrate control of HVAC, lighting, power, and security systems.
Hwang Tae-hwan, Vice President and Head of Samsung Electronics' B2B Integrated Offering Center, stated, "This collaboration is a meaningful case of introducing AIoT-based customized integrated operation solutions covering both residential and commercial spaces," adding, "Through this partnership, we will actively participate in complex development projects utilizing B2B integrated operation solutions in the Southeast Asian market."
