
Lottery and instant win ticket purchase and winning information will be recorded on a blockchain. This is to verify whether lottery data has been altered after the fact and to further authenticate high-value winning tickets.
Pasu AI announced on the 25th that it has built a private blockchain solution called 'Pasu Block' for the entire lottery system of Donghaeng Lottery. Pasu AI participates in the Donghaeng Lottery consortium, which is the fifth lottery trustee operator, and is responsible for securing lottery operations.
Pasu Block operates as a private blockchain accessible only to authorized users. Compared to public blockchains where unspecified many participate, access control is easier and processing speed is faster, so it is mainly used when sensitive data is jointly managed by multiple institutional investors or operators.
Donghaeng Lottery has applied Pasu Block to all draw-type and instant-type lotteries, including 'Lotto 6/45' and 'Spitto 2000'. It records integrity hash values that verify whether the lottery Koo Mae (Director) itself has been altered, along with winning information, on the blockchain for management.
If original data is altered, the newly generated hash value will differ from the value stored on the blockchain. Through this, it can be confirmed whether lottery purchase and winning information was modified after the fact. When verifying high-value winning tickets, an additional verification procedure utilizing blockchain records has been implemented.
Pasu AI explained that by tracking data alteration history recorded on the blockchain, it can enhance response capabilities against fraudulent sales and counterfeit lotteries.
Im Cho-soon, head of Donghaeng Lottery's System Operations Division, said, "The reliability and transparency of lottery data are important factors for stable lottery operations," and added, "We will continuously build a lottery operation environment that citizens can trust."
Kang Bong-ho, head of Pasu AI's Service Business Division, stated, "Based on this implementation case, we will expand the application of Pasu Block to finance, public sectors, and logistics where data integrity is crucial."
