Megazone, the parent company of AI and cloud leader Megazone Cloud, and Hanmi Science have joined hands to promote digital business innovation based on AX (Automated eXecution).
The two companies announced on the 26th that they signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen the digital innovation capabilities across the entire Hanmi Group by combining Megazone's AI and cloud technology expertise with Hanmi Science's specialized knowledge in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
Under this agreement, both parties plan to jointly pursue tasks including identifying AX-based business innovation projects, cooperating to enhance digital transformation capabilities, and addressing other AI and digital innovation-related initiatives.
Through these efforts, they aim to solve actual on-site problems by reflecting the unique characteristics of the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors that are difficult to address with general-purpose AI technologies alone, while jointly planning practical AI services that offer both high utility and business viability. The companies plan to establish a working-level committee to identify specific cooperation projects and review implementation plans. They also intend to gradually expand and enhance the scope of their collaboration.
Recently, Hanmi Science has been actively laying the groundwork for AX by operating the 'Hanmi AI Boost Program' across all subsidiaries, including Hanmi Pharmaceutical, to spread a culture of AI utilization and uncover business innovation cases.
Jang Ji-hwang, CEO of Megazone, stated, "To create tangible business results through AI, deep understanding of both the relevant industry and work processes must be combined with technology." He added, "By combining Hanmi Science's pharmaceutical and healthcare expertise with Megazone's experience and capabilities in cloud- and AI-based business innovation, we will develop new business models that can create value."
Kim Jae-gyo, CEO of Hanmi Science, remarked, "AI has evolved from a mere tool for improving work efficiency to a core technology determining corporate competitiveness." He continued, "Through this agreement, we aim to expand AX-based business innovation across the Hanmi Group and build a digital work environment that allows employees to work more efficiently."
