Singer Evan participated in the audiobook reading of Brandon Choi, a classical saxophonist, for his essay 'Those who quietly keep going.'
KT Genie Music and Millies Library announced on the 17th that they are launching an audiobook project where musicians who have released new songs read books that match their music.
Evan, who recently released the new song 'Death of Me', chose Brandon Choi's new essay 'Those who quietly keep going.' Brandon Choi is a performer who was the first classical saxophonist to hold a solo concert at New York's Lincoln Center in the United States.
The book contains the process of the author, who has constantly proven himself throughout his life, stopping briefly after experiencing illness and setbacks to find his own breathing rhythm and lifestyle. It explores the meaning of living steadily at a pace that suits oneself rather than focusing on achievements.
The company explained that Evan's new song also carries a message about moving forward without losing oneself even in moments that feel like an end, aligning with the book's theme.
The audiobook 'Books You Can See', read by Evan, is available not only in Korean but also with English and Japanese translations.
Millies Library will give away a CD signed personally by Evan through a lottery to users who leave audiobook reviews until the 30th. Genie Music will also open a magazine introducing the audiobook on its music platform Genie and hold an event for expected comments until the 29th.
A KT Genie Music official said, "Evan, who continues his musical challenges, participated in the reading by resonating with the message contained in the book," adding, "We will provide a new experience of enjoying music and books together."
