Broadcaster Choi Hwa-jung revealed a gift she received from actor Song Joong-ki and his wife, Katie.
On the 15th, a video was released on the YouTube channel 'Hello, I am Choi Hwa-jung,' in which Choi Hwa-jung demonstrated how to make 'Turkish Eggs,' a dish using Greek yogurt.
Choi Hwa-jung finely minced garlic and added it to the yogurt, then took out a small bottle to add olive oil.
Showing the olive oil, Choi Hwa-jung said, "This is a gift Joong-ki gave me."
She continued, "They told me it was olive oil from their first harvest in Italy with his wife. They said they harvested it themselves. It's so precious."
She then pointed to the illustration engraved on the packaging. Explaining the image of two children climbing a ladder, she said, "The babies here are their own children."
Choi Hwa-jung said, "This is so precious that I only eat it on an empty stomach. But today, I will use it specially." Opening the lid, Choi Hwa-jung exclaimed, "The scent is different."
Song Joong-ki married Katie Louise Saunders, a British actress, in 2023, welcomed a son that same year, and a daughter the following year. Katie is known to have spent most of her formative years in Milan, Italy. Although she also worked as an actress in the UK, she is known to be more well-known for primarily working in Italy.
