Cooking expert Lee Hye-jung (70) revealed that she feels jealous of her daughter, who became pregnant at age 45.
The MBN variety show 'Sokpuri Show Dongchimi,' which aired on the 17th, featured a discussion on the theme "I Will Fall in Love This Autumn."
On the broadcast, Lee confessed that "my daughter had a baby at the age of forty-five," receiving congratulations. She said, "It was so exciting. But now that she is six to seven months pregnant, her belly is big, isn't it? I even felt envious about that," leaving the cast puzzled.
MC Kim Yong-man asked, "It is a joy for the family, so why are you envious? What is the reason?" and Noh Sa-yeon also reacted by asking, "Why are you envious when your daughter is pregnant?"
In response, Lee answered, "This is a secret, but my son-in-law treats my daughter like a precious treasure, and because she is older when getting pregnant, he does not let her lift even a single sheet of paper."
She continued, "I worked while carrying a baby on my back after giving birth to one," adding, "Why are you acting this way even though I am your mother?" She then confessed, "I think I might be experiencing autumn melancholy. My daughter's husband is right there, so why is my husband not here?"
Lee married gynecologist and obstetrician Ko Min-hwan in 1979 and has one son and one daughter. Previously, Lee had confessed through various broadcasts about conflicts with her husband, hardships of married life, and mother-in-law issues.
On the 12th, she revealed that her husband Ko treated her coldly when she experienced bleeding during pregnancy, and when she visited his hospital for childbirth, he was concerned about the gazes of his juniors and told her, "Don't make a fuss."
