Singer Sean revealed the story of how he did not force his faith on his wife, Jung Hye-young, and instead waited for three years.
On the 26th, a video titled "I prayed in the early morning, and I received an answer that same evening. The reason Jung Hye-young came to believe in God" was released on the YouTube channel 'Lee Seong-mi's Not Going.'
In the video, Sean recalled his first meeting with Jung Hye-young, saying, "I fell in love with Hye-young at first sight. I thought, 'I must marry this woman,' and thankfully, she later opened her heart to me, and we began dating."
However, it is said that Jung Hye-young had a negative attitude toward the church at the time.
Sean shared, "Hye-young said she would absolutely never go to church," adding, "I prayed with the mindset of being willing to give my life for Hye-young."
He explained that he waited for Jung Hye-young's heart to change, stating, "I did not try to persuade her, nor did I tell her to go to church. I simply waited for three years."
Subsequently, at Sean's suggestion, Jung Hye-young attended an early morning worship service. At the time, as she was preparing for marriage, it is said that Jung Hye-young prayed during the service that she would be able to obtain the wedding dress she wanted to wear.
Sean conveyed, "After the Thursday Bible study ended, one person told Hye-young, 'If your wedding dress has not yet been sorted out, I would like to gift it to you.'"
He continued, "That person was the designer of the wedding dress that Hye-young had kept in her heart while praying in the early morning that day. Hye-young was very surprised."
He then explained that Jung Hye-young opened her heart to faith as a result of this incident, noting, "It was not really a prayer, but I received an answer that same evening."
Meanwhile, Sean and Jung Hye-young married in 2004.
