Comedian Jung Kyung-mi (46) revealed that she has stepped back from broadcasting activities to run an English musical academy in Songdo, Incheon.
On the 28th, a video titled “From National Fairy to Academy Director?! I Tried Being a Daily Shutter Guy Following My Wife | Jung Kyung-mi’s Unexpected Update” was released on comedian Yoon Hyung-bin’s YouTube channel.
In the video, Yoon Hyung-bin visited the English musical academy run by his wife, Jung Kyung-mi.
Pointing to a keyboard placed in one corner of the classroom, Jung Kyung-mi said it was “the only gift my husband gave me when I opened the academy,” while also revealing that he had merely helped her search for audio equipment, which drew laughter.
Jung Kyung-mi, who is currently focusing on running the academy after leaving broadcasting, stated, “It seems to suit me well as I continue. It’s fun, and being with the children gives me a lot of good energy. Seeing the children grow makes me feel proud.”
The video also showed Jung Kyung-mi and Yoon Hyung-bin’s children participating in various performances.
Jung Kyung-mi said, “My son is also actively working as a student,” adding, “Looking at the overall performance, the quality of the makeup and costumes is high. Since there are many people, we hired a separate makeup artist, but we made all the costumes, props, and wigs ourselves.”

The operation of the academy also appeared to be going smoothly. When Yoon Hyung-bin asked, “I’ve heard there’s a rumor that the academy is full,” Jung Kyung-mi replied, “Yes. There is a waiting list.”
In response, Yoon Hyung-bin acknowledged his wife’s passion, saying, “That’s understandable. Whether sitting or standing, you’re always thinking about the children.”
When told that people around them suggest Yoon Hyung-bin should quit his business to help run Jung Kyung-mi’s academy, Jung Kyung-mi said, “I prefer to keep it small and live harmoniously with the children. My husband tends to operate on a large scale, but this size is just right for me.”
Yoon Hyung-bin elicited laughter by saying, “When we first started, I told her it would be much harder than she thought. Since there are many things to worry about, I subtly suggested whether she should just stick to broadcasting, and then she showed her claws.”
Jung Kyung-mi revealed, “I felt like, ‘He is running a business too, so why can’t I?’ I know what that feeling is,” adding, “It has been about a year and six months now, and I have adjusted. There are many parents who support us. I want to go all-in on running the academy in the future as well.”
