A claim has emerged that kids' content creator Heejiini (real name Kang Hye-jin) once suggested unpaid leave to a former employee who experienced seizures at the company, stating that it "did not look good in front of other employees."
On the 29th, a video titled "[Exclusive] You're saying we falsified workers' compensation documents? Heejiini's former employees make a determined rebuttal... The shocking reason they spoke out after 7 years" was released on the YouTube channel "List Fact Lee Jin-ho."
In the video, YouTuber Lee Jin-ho revealed the contents of a phone call with former employee A, who had worked at Heejiini's company.
A rebutted Heejiini's side's denial of labor exploitation allegations and their claims regarding a 25% annual salary increase and bonus payments during leave. "The evidence is clear, so I was baffled that they would lie like that in the statement," A said, adding, "I think my feelings would have softened if I had felt genuine remorse."
Regarding the salary increase rate, A claimed, "My annual salary went from 20 million won to 21 million won," stating, "It was a 5% increase, not 25%." A explained that after moving near the company and continuing to work overtime, Heejiini mentioned financial difficulties and proposed a salary raise, but the actual increase was only 1 million won.

Claims also emerged regarding bonus payments. A stated that they entered unpaid leave after repeatedly experiencing seizures at the company, claiming, "Because I kept showing this behavior at the office, they said it 'didn't look good in front of other employees.'"
A continued, "It was a bonus paid equally to all employees every year-end, but I felt it was excessive that the statement described it as if it were specially paid for my benefit."
A claimed to have joined the company in 2012 and handled tasks such as writing video scripts, translation, voice actor recruitment, dubbing direction, editing, and uploading. A stated that they worked up to 16 hours a day without receiving separate overtime pay, and after being taken to the emergency room due to shortness of breath during overtime in 2018, was diagnosed with panic disorder and depression, among other conditions. A added that their health has since improved enough to allow for external activities.
Previously, Heejiini's side explained the labor exploitation controversy by revealing facts about salary increases and bonus payments during leave, stating that they had guaranteed autonomy in work schedules and execution methods, and that adjusting working hours and remote work were possible. However, as A rebutted these claims, the two sides' accounts are now at odds.
