Comedian Kim Won-hyo revealed that he has gifted his wife, Shim Jin-hwa, with luxury handbags worth more than 100 million won over the past 15 years.
Kim Won-hyo and Song Jun-geun appeared on KBS2's "Malja Show," which aired on the 2nd.
On the show, Kim Won-hyo drew attention by saying that he gifts Shim Jin-hwa a luxury handbag every year on their wedding anniversary.
He began by saying, "People seem to go 'wow' when they hear it's a luxury bag, but the reason I do this is that I have officiated more than 1,780 weddings so far."
He continued, "What do you hear most while officiating many weddings? It's the marriage vows," adding, "But usually, people don't keep them."
He explained, "What I said during my own marriage vows was that 'I will buy you a luxury bag.' I do it every time because I want to keep that promise, not just say it in words."
Kim Won-hyo, who has now reached his 15th year of marriage, stated that the cumulative amount spent on bags gifted to his wife "exceeds 100 million won."
He then asked, "Can't you spend even 100 million won on someone you will be with for life?" revealing his unique affection for his wife and receiving cheers from the audience.
Since getting married in 2011, Kim Won-hyo and Shim Jin-hwa have expressed their love for each other through various broadcasts and social media, earning them a reputation as one of the entertainment industry's representative loving couples.
