Marvel Studios' fifth 'Avengers' film, 'Avengers: Doomsday,' is set to hit theaters on Dec. 16, with two of the franchise's heroes, Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor, and Chris Evans, who plays Captain America, coming to South Korea.
Walt Disney Company Korea said Friday that Evans, Hemsworth and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige will visit South Korea on Dec. 7.
Evans is returning to South Korea for the first time in 11 years for a Marvel production, following his visit for 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' in 2015.
Hemsworth's visit has drawn particular attention. His repeated absence from official events in South Korea had led some to raise suspicions that he was avoiding the country.
However, after visiting South Korea last year to film the second season of the Disney+ original series 'Limitless with Chris Hemsworth,' he is now set to make an official visit for 'Avengers: Doomsday,' raising expectations among Korean fans.
During their visit, Evans, Hemsworth and Feige will meet local media and fans through events including a press conference and a red carpet event. Further details of the schedule will be announced later.
'Avengers: Doomsday' is set to open in theaters on Dec. 16.
