LIG Defense & Aerospace participated in the "2026 Drone and Urban Air Mobility Expo" held at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, from Nov. 4 to 6, showcasing its key products in the field of future unmanned systems. The event was organized under the theme "The Leap of Future Mobility," providing a platform to explore the latest technologies and development directions of the drone and urban air mobility (UAM) industries.
At this expo, LIG D&A displayed major unmanned system products, including a small reconnaissance-strike integrated drone (MPD) and a multi-purpose unmanned helicopter (MPUH). Through these exhibits, the company plans to introduce its drone-related technologies and products to military power operations officials, while identifying operational demands and technical requirements for unmanned systems in future battlefield environments.
Additionally, LIG D&A will promote technology exchanges with private enterprises developing core components such as batteries and drone cameras. Based on this, the company aims to expand its cooperation network in the drone sector and strengthen the industrial ecosystem and value chain foundation necessary for future unmanned system projects.
An official from LIG D&A said, "Taking this exhibition participation as an opportunity, we plan to broaden collaboration points encompassing both the military and civilian sectors, and continuously explore business opportunities in the field of future unmanned systems."
Meanwhile, LIG D&A changed its name from LIG Nex1 to its current corporate name in March, coinciding with its annual general meeting of shareholders and 50th anniversary of establishment. The new name embodies a vision to leap forward as a global comprehensive defense company by adding advanced aerospace technology to its existing precision defense capabilities.
