Annual 1 trillion dollar in exports is now within sight.

This year's export performance has already shattered all-time records. The 'annual 1 trillion dollar in exports' achieved by only three countries worldwide is now within sight.

According to the Korea Customs Service on the 6th, as of 1 p.m. yesterday, exports for this year reached $709.4 billion. This exceeds last year's full-year performance ($709.3 billion). The government expects to surpass 1 trillion won in exports this year. Only three countries—the United States, China, and Germany—have recorded annual exports exceeding 1 trillion won. A boom in the semiconductor industry has driven up export figures. From January to August this year, semiconductor exports totaled $281.2 billion, a 2.7-fold increase compared to the same period last year. Notably, June saw monthly exports exceed $100 billion for the first time in history.
