In an episode of KBS JOY's "Ask Me Anything" aired on the afternoon of the 17th, a husband appeared who revealed that his wife's excessive dieting has caused concern among those around her.
The husband said, "My wife lost weight from 70kg to 40kg in just 10 months. Yet she still can't let go of her diet obsession. She is forcing herself to diet recklessly." The wife who appeared stated that she is 164cm tall and weighs 40kg.
The wife explained the reason for her obsession: "I've been fat since I was young. I was ostracized and mocked with nicknames. I would quickly forget it and eat snacks. My face is round, so I need to lose more weight to look thin." She also revealed photos from the past when she was chubby but full of energy.
In response, the husband expressed concern: "Isn't it trendy these days for celebrities' weights? They say you subtract 120 from your height to get a celebrity's weight. I went to Gyeongbokgung Palace at the end of May, and after walking in the sunlight for about 20 minutes, my wife vomited." However, the wife retorted, "My upper GI endoscopy is normal. I want to lose another 2kg. I want to be 38kg."
Seol Jang-hoon, who was listening to the story, eventually exploded. He told the wife, "You're not pretty. You look like a zombie. People might say you look like Pyo Ye-jin now that you've lost weight. No, you look like a zombie. If you keep this up, you'll die. Your husband will get tired and run away. You look old. Even though you're four years younger than him, you look older." He poured out harsh words.
At Seol Jang-hoon's words, the wife tried hard to control her expression. The production team even issued a warning letter to Seol Jang-hoon to protect the caller. In response, Seol Jang-hoon added, "I hope you two have children and build a happy family. Live well," while also saying, "But what I said isn't a lie."
