Rescene member Minami says she has received more than 100 advertising offers.
The MBC variety program 'Radio Star,' airing on Wednesday, will feature a special episode titled 'Nagoya-Ho! Asian Games' with Lee Hyung-taek, Lee Hye-jeong, Jo Jun-ho, and Minami as guests.
Rescene member Minami, who is making her first solo appearance on a variety show, received congratulations from her fellow members saying, "You've truly become a celebrity" and "It's great."
As the Japanese member of the group, Minami said she has been watching 'Radio Star' since she started studying Korean. She also mentioned that she dreamed of becoming a K-pop idol since the third grade of elementary school, even listing it as her future career aspiration in her graduation album.
Rescene is a five-member girl group that debuted in March 2024. Earlier this year, they became a hot topic after Won's YouTube channel featured content with Won and Minami in a gyaru concept, and Minami's catchphrase "Geoje Yahoo" turned into a meme. Subsequently, their August 2024 release 'Love Attack' (LOVE ATTACK) experienced a reverse trend two years later, establishing them as a top-tier group.
Regarding her recent activities, Minami revealed that she is handling large-scale schedules and has received over 100 advertising offers, surprising the MCs.
Minami also shared that Rescene is currently serving as a promotional ambassador for the MBC Asian Games broadcast. She expressed her feelings about becoming an ambassador ahead of the Asian Games to be held in her hometown of Japan.
However, Minami drew attention by declaring that she will graduate from the 'Yahoo' catchphrase and gyaru character that made her famous. In a trailer, she stated, "If I'm asked or if someone comes looking for me, I'll do it without hesitation," but added, "However, today is the last time I initiate it myself."
Minami's story of debuting as a Korean idol and her 'Yahoo' graduation ceremony will be revealed in the broadcast at 10:30 PM on the 16th.
