Actress Song Ji-hyo, 45, announced that she will cease operations of her YouTube channel.
On the 17th, a video titled "To those who have loved Song Ji-hyo so far" was released on Song Ji-hyo's YouTube channel.
In the video, while making shabu-shabu, Song Ji-hyo said, "I want to announce today's guest specially, so I will let you know a little later."
After the cooking was finished, Song Ji-hyo appeared after taking off her apron and said, "Today's guest is me," then asked, "Since I am the main character, can I do as I please?" before turning on the gas stove.
Thereafter, while eating the shabu-shabu she had made, Song Ji-hyo said, "This will be the last one," surprising everyone. She continued, "It is not the last; we are taking a short break," and urged the production team, "Since it is not the last, let's not cry."
Song Ji-hyo said, "We are taking a short break," and added, "Please wait a little longer until I appear before you with a more solid and strengthened appearance."
When the production team asked, "Aren't you disappointed?" Song Ji-hyo replied, "If there were no disappointment, it would be a lie. I learned the lesson that just having the desire is not enough."
She continued, "It is not the last. You should not think of it as the last," and urged, "We will take time to reorganize and return. Please wait for us."
Song Ji-hyo opened her YouTube channel last October and had 180,000 subscribers but announced a suspension of activities after about 10 months.
