Actress Ha Hee-ra clarified the domestic violence rumors surrounding her husband, Choi Soo-jong.
On the 14th, the couple, who are celebrating their 33rd wedding anniversary, appeared on tvN's variety show "You Quiz On The Block."

On the broadcast, Choi said regarding his "romantic" image, "It is good to live with this kind of burden. I think it is even better because it feels like they are guiding me on the right path."
Ha said, "It is not a bad image, is it? I am grateful. Our profession often makes our sincerity appear differently. People cannot ask us directly, so they ask our acquaintances, 'Do you two really never fight?' They say we respond by telling them, 'If anything, we are even more affectionate than what appears on screen.'"
She continued, "When we were newlyweds, if we walked holding hands, people would say, 'They are still holding hands in public,' so I let go. And when we walked without holding hands, they would ask, 'Did you two fight? Why are you walking apart?' So we decided not to worry about it and just live our lives as we please. No matter what we do, people see things the way they want to see them, so we have spent 33 years sticking to our truth."
Ha also mentioned past rumors surrounding the couple.
Ha said, "In the past, there was gossip that (Choi) would hit me after drinking. I heard it from people around me and was very shocked. They said he does surprise events to make up for it." Upon hearing this, Yoo expressed disbelief, asking, "How do they come up with such talk?"
Ha said, "Because the children could hear about it, I told them, 'No matter what stories you hear, the mom and dad you see with your own eyes are the truth,' and that made me feel relieved. Now, holding hands has become a habit, so we hold hands even in our daily lives."

Choi said, "If Ha Hee-ra had not experienced four miscarriages, my appearance might have been similar to that of other husbands who work hard outside and come home to see their wives and children."
He added, "Going through the miscarriages made me realize how precious children are, so I thought, 'I should treat Ha Hee-ra even better.' That means doing things I can do at home, such as physical chores," explaining why he actively expresses his love for his wife.
Choi married fellow actress Ha in 1993 and has one son and one daughter.
