Theater actress Kim Hyeon (25) has warned of legal action after being mistaken for the recently deceased action actor Kim Hyeon, who shares her name, leading to the spread of her personal photos.
On the 14th, Kim Hyeon posted on her Instagram, "Regarding the news of the passing of a person with the same name as me, my face photo is being incorrectly posted and spreading online as if it were that person's photo."
She added, "I am completely different from the late individual, and I am suffering serious harm and mental distress as a result. We have secured all relevant materials and are proceeding with requests for post deletion and necessary legal measures."
She further stated, "If you have seen related posts or are mistaken about who I am, please be aware that I am not that person. Please refrain from indiscriminate sharing to prevent the spread of incorrect information, and if you find any related posts, please report them."
Meanwhile, action actor Kim Hyeon passed away in a traffic accident while traveling for filming last August. The news was recently brought to light when memorial subtitles were included at the end of recent broadcasts of SBS's "Doctor X: The Age of the White Mafia" and tvN's "100 Days of Lies."
