Actress Sa Mi-ja revealed her affection for her eldest daughter-in-law, with whom she has maintained a bond for 35 years.
On the 23rd, a video depicting the daily life of Sa Mi-ja and her eldest daughter-in-law, Yoo Ji-yeon, was released on the YouTube channel 'Not Omi-ja, but Sa Mi-ja.'
In the video, Sa Mi-ja said about her daughter-in-law, "Some people say, 'How can a daughter-in-law be so pretty,' while others say, 'Your daughter-in-law talks in an arrogant manner.'"
She continued, "There is no one with a kinder heart than this," but also stated, "At other times, she is so cold that you wonder, 'Can someone really be that rude?'" eliciting laughter.
Sa Mi-ja joked, "After living together for 35 years, I think of her when I eat something delicious. But she thinks of her own mother when she eats something delicious."
Yoo revealed that she has been living in the same house with her parents-in-law for 13 years. She said she never misses any anniversaries and personally prepares food for the Chuseok holiday.
In response, Sa Mi-ja expressed gratitude, saying, "That is what makes my heart feel at ease."
Yoo also said, "You only say those things," adding, "I well understand the warm heart of Mother that lies within. Because we know each other's hearts, we have lived without major problems."
When the production team asked Yoo about the moment she was most grateful to her mother-in-law, Yoo replied, "It is not a single moment; I am always grateful. She has been a solid pillar for me both economically and mentally."
Meanwhile, Yoo previously appeared on MBN's 'Supsuri Show Dongchimi' in 2021, revealing that she had cared for both her husband, who was battling cancer, and her mother-in-law Sa Mi-ja, who suffered a cerebral infarction, alone during the two years when their conditions overlapped.
At the time, Yoo stated that her husband and Sa Mi-ja were hospitalized on adjacent floors of the same hospital, and that she had shuttled between the two rooms to provide care.
