Former Suga group member Ayumi shared an update on her life in Tokyo, Japan.
On Tuesday, a video was released on Ayumi’s YouTube channel showing her daily life while spending a month in Azabu-Juban, Minato Ward, Tokyo, with her family.
In the video, Ayumi said, “I am spending a month living in Tokyo, Japan,” adding, “It has been three weeks. I am experiencing life in Tokyo with my child.”
Ayumi stated that the area where she is currently staying is an affluent neighborhood similar to Seoul Gangnam-gu. She explained, “Azabu-Juban is a wealthy district with many embassies and foreign residents, making it a multicultural area. Many Japanese celebrities also live there.”
She then added, “When I was looking for a place to stay, because of my child, I wanted a spacious place, but they told me the monthly rent would be 20 million won.”
Ayumi revealed that she secured her accommodation during a discount period and paid approximately 4.4 million won for one month’s lodging. She noted that this amount included all management fees such as gas and water bills.
Regarding her criteria for finding a place to stay, she said, “It is not good just because the house is spacious and clean; you need to check how far it is from here and what is nearby, and make good use of discount periods. It is cheaper during times when people do not want to come.”
Ayumi mentioned that it took her a week just to pack, explaining that she brought everything from Korea, including pots, blankets, and toys. She said, “I had to pay several hundred thousand won in extra baggage fees. It was at an immigration level with six large trunks,” adding, “None of them are for us; they are all for the baby.”
