Comedian Lee Kyung-sil revealed that she feels sorry for her ex-husband.
On the 1st, Episode 186 of "Knowledge Invitation Seat," featuring Lee Kyung-sil, was released on the YouTube channel "Knowledge Inside."
In the video, Lee Kyung-sil said regarding the qualities she would like in a spouse for her daughter's marriage, "I think it is good to be with someone who is affectionate and considerate. I feel that I should live with someone who loves me more. That is how women find happiness. Looking around at people close to me, those who live with considerate partners tend to laugh a lot and seem happy."
She added, "Of course, it is not okay if there is too little money either. They say that if there is very little money, love comes in through the front door and leaves through the back door. If at least one of the two has ability or resources, I am fine with that. There is no rule saying the man must be the capable one."

Lee Kyung-sil said, "Even when speaking a single word, one should be affectionate," emphasizing the importance of how a husband treats his wife in front of others. She also stated, "When drinking alcohol or in extreme situations, one's true nature comes out, right? Yet there are still considerate people. My current husband is very affectionate."
Lee Kyung-sil said, "It seems that couples who help each other with their difficulties live well," and shared an anecdote about noticing when her past husband was going through a hard time.
She said, "In the past, my husband seemed to be having some financial difficulty. It looked like he did not have money, but since I had some leeway at the time, I quietly put money into his bank account and told him to check it. Isn't it pleasant when someone knows about your difficulties and helps you? If they pretend not to know, it is disappointing."

Lee Kyung-sil also said, "In a marital relationship, there are no couples where both people do well all the time."
She explained, "Even if your partner is doing well, when they meet me, their work might decrease or my work might increase. I have learned that one should feel sorry for the other person about this. That is what I felt through my two marriages. Perhaps I even took away some of that person's luck."
She continued, "Instead of complaining about it, I realized that I should feel a bit sorry and be grateful for having received even that person's fortune."
She added, "There are no couples where both are thriving. One person becomes somewhat weaker. It is not that the person is incapable; rather, it seems that this person may have taken away even their luck."

Lee Kyung-sil also mentioned her ex-husband.
She said, "Looking back now, I feel there are parts where I was a bit sorry to him during my first marriage," and confessed, "He is the kind of person who could have done well if he had met someone else, but because his luck all came to me because of me, did that make him seem smaller?"
She emphasized, "That person really did better after breaking up with me. That is what I felt seeing those aspects. We should live by being grateful and feeling sorry for each other."
Lee Kyung-sil married a non-celebrity college classmate in 1992 and had a daughter, Son Su-ah, and a son, Son Bo-seung, but divorced in 2003. Later, after meeting a businessman nine years her senior in 2007, Lee Kyung-sil revealed in 2024 that she is living with him without registering their marriage.
