Actor Yoo Yeon-seok revealed that he had operated a bar in Seoul's Itaewon district for approximately five years.
On the episode of the SBS variety show 'If There's a Gap' broadcast on the 3rd, actors Lee Dong-hwi and Yang Se-jong appeared as guests. On this day, Yoo Jae-suk, Yoo Yeon-seok, Lee Dong-hwi, and Yang Se-jong met with Turkish sisters who run a cafe in Seoul's Yongsan-gu district, specifically in the Haebangchon neighborhood.
When the sisters shared their concerns about running the cafe, Yoo Yeon-seok brought up his own experience, saying, "I ran a bar in Itaewon for nearly five years."
Upon hearing that the sisters had been operating the cafe for four years, Yoo Yeon-seok said, "If you say it's been four years since you started managing it, that is exactly the timing when worries begin to arise." He added, "Typically, contracts are signed for five-year terms, so this is the point where one would be considering whether to renew," expressing empathy with the realistic concerns faced by self-employed business owners.
Yoo Yeon-seok operated a bar in Itaewon from late 2015. He explained that his reason for running the bar was not primarily for business, but rather because he wanted to create his own space where he could comfortably hang out with acquaintances.
Meanwhile, Yoo Yeon-seok debuted in the 2003 film 'Oldboy' and has since appeared in dramas such as 'Reply 1994', 'Dr. Romantic', and 'Hospital Playlist'. He is currently starring alongside actress Seo Hyun-jin in the MBC Friday-Saturday drama 'Liar'.
