As the group AKMU is currently on a nationwide tour, harsh reviews have continued to emerge from live audience members at the Gangneung show.
AKMU held "2026 AKMU Concert 'Paradise of Rumor'" at the Gangneung Speed Skating Oval in Gangwon Province on the 7th.
AKMU's concert, "Paradise of Rumor," initially received favorable reviews and concluded its first performance at the KSPO DOME in Seoul Olympic Park. Following this, a nationwide tour was announced, heightening anticipation.
The unique stage composition and sophisticated direction were particularly talked about. As a result, all performances prior to this sold out.
However, reviews expressing disappointment over unexpected issues have flooded in regarding the Gangneung performance. Due to the lack of tiered seating in the floor section, audience members in the back rows reported seeing only the heads of those in front of them rather than the stage.
One attendee posted, "It's a floor area, but is this really VIP seating? I can't see any of the stage, and the moment I stand up, I can't even see the screen. The direction was good, but the sound was disappointing, and the non-tiered seating feels like a subway."
Another attendee shared, "The view from my 176,000 won VIP seat was on par with restricted-view seats. I couldn't even see the large screen, let alone the stage. I politely asked an on-site staff member to change my seat, but they said it wasn't possible. When I said I would stand at the very back if necessary, a guard told me that wasn't allowed either. People who had struggled to get tickets started giving up midway, and less than an hour into the show, there was chaos as people left home cursing."
Harsh reviews from multiple attendees of the Gangneung concert have continued, with some even reacting by asking, "Shouldn't they issue refunds?"
The prices for AKMU's Gangneung concert were 176,000 won for all floor seats as VIP, 165,000 won for table and R seats, and 154,000 won for restricted-view seats. However,
AKMU will hold concerts in Daegu from the 21st to the 22nd. Following this, they will continue their performances in Daejeon, Busan, Gwangju, and Goyang.
