"Beauty expands our horizons and makes us happy. The products LG offers are beautiful. We have LG products in our home too."
As Hollywood actress and popular talk show host Drew Barrymore offered a heartfelt thank-you on the stage of the Guggenheim Museum in New York, U.S., on the evening of the 8th (local time), thunderous applause and cheers erupted from the guest seats filling the museum's spiral hall.
The scene at the commemorative gala show 'What Is Your Signature?' held by LG Electronics to mark the 10th anniversary of its ultra-premium home appliance brand 'LG SIGNATURE' entering the U.S. market. Barrymore, who received an 'Iconic Award' that day, expressed deep affection for the fusion of technology and aesthetic design demonstrated by LG Electronics.
The event venue was packed with a large gathering of global cultural and artistic figures, major media outlets, and influencers, including Kwon Do-young, Vice President and North America Regional Head of LG Electronics, who illuminated the 10th-anniversary celebration. In particular, attendees' footsteps continued to flow around models designed to resemble LG SIGNATURE's new products.
At this event, LG Electronics emphasized the combination of design and technology. The company's strategy is to implement designs that harmonize with the entire living space, going beyond the luxury of the product itself, and to enhance user convenience by leveraging AI (artificial intelligence). Leveraging this, the company plans to accelerate its efforts not only in the North American premium home appliance market but also in the built-in home appliance market.
Marking its 10th anniversary this year, LG SIGNATURE expanded its product lineup to kitchen appliances such as oven ranges, wall ovens, hoods, and cooktops, establishing a total of 10 models. The design has been subdivided into three styles so that customers can choose according to their tastes and living spaces. Representative examples include 'Iconic,' which emphasizes luxury by adding gold lines to metal materials; 'Tailored,' which expresses individuality through various colors; and 'Seamless,' which fits snugly against furniture lines without any protruding parts. The aim is to respond to the diverse demands of consumers choosing premium home appliances by differentiating not only product-specific functions but also materials, colors, and installation methods.
The company is also significantly broadening its experience and sales touchpoints. It has substantially revised its strategy by greatly expanding displays from a premium display method centered on existing flagship stores to general stores of major distribution partners, allowing local consumers to directly feel the brand's value in their daily lives.
AI-based features have also been strengthened. The oven range equipped with 'Gourmet AI' recognizes ingredients using an internal camera, recommends suitable recipes, and provides alarms tailored to the cooking status. The company has positioned not only the product's design but also the convenience felt during actual use as a premium competitive advantage.
The superior quality and technological prowess of LG SIGNATURE have been proven by evaluations from local media. Recently, in 'Top 15 Washer-Dryer Sets of 2026' published by Consumer Reports, the largest consumer media outlet in the U.S., the LG SIGNATURE washer and dryer set received the highest-level evaluation. In particular, the Signature washer recorded a top score of 87 points among more than 100 evaluated products, showcasing its unmatched technological capability.
Kwon Do-young, North America Regional Head, said, "Over the past 10 years, LG SIGNATURE has presented new standards for premium home appliances with restrained design focused on the essence of home appliances and innovative technology." He added, "Going forward, we will provide North American customers with a different dimension of experience by leading with a premium lineup that combines design elevating the dignity of space with AI-based convenience."
Meanwhile, LG Display has developed next-generation technology called 'FLiPP' (Flip) that can enhance the performance and production process efficiency of OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) panels. The company explained that this is a world-first technological innovation applicable to existing 8th-generation processes. In addition to improving panel performance in terms of brightness, lifespan, and power consumption, it reduced process time by 40% compared to existing technology and increased yield efficiency by approximately 24% by utilizing existing production infrastructure.
