The Federation of Korean Indistries (FKI) announced that it held a roundtable on Wednesday at Seoul Yeouido FKI Tower to discuss ways to expand cooperation with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs.
FKI ChairmaN Ryu Jin and Patriots, Veterans Affairs Minister Kwon Oh-eul, and others attended the roundtable, where they discussed cooperation plans for expanding recognition of military service in the private sector, supporting employment for discharged veterans, and promoting social contribution activities related to veterans' affairs.
The FKI stated that it agreed on the need for reasonable recognition of military service in the private sector, given that recognition of military service is expected to expand in the public sector, and plans to encourage participation from member companies.
The two institutional investors also discussed cooperation plans to expand employment opportunities for discharged veterans and revitalize social contributions related to veterans' affairs.
The FKI is considering allowing discharged veterans to participate in the "One-Stop Job and Housing Fair" to be held at FKI Tower starting on the 28th of this month, and plans to expand existing veterans' affairs social contribution projects, such as the "Premium Store (a small business support project for descendants of independence activists, jointly promoted with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs)."
