On the 28th, the KOSPI index closed lower amid selling pressure from foreign investors and institutional investors.
The KOSPI index closed at 6,788.88, down 123.49 points (1.79%) from the previous day. After opening at 6,846.54 (-0.95%), it rose to 6,901.78 (-0.15%) during trading before falling to 6,780.13 (-1.91%).
Foreign investors and institutional investors sold net amounts of 1.7563 trillion won and 284.4 billion won, respectively, while retail investors bought net amounts of 424.5 billion won.
Samsung Electronics closed down 3.38% at 257,000 won. SK Hynix closed down 4.45% at 1.653 million won.
Other stocks that declined included Samsung Biologics (-6.78%), Samsung Electronics Preferred (-3.86%), SK Square (-3.75%), and LG Energy Solution (-0.13%).
Stocks that rose included Samsung Electric (+2.60%), KB Financial Group (+2.08%), Samsung Life Insurance (+0.98%), and Hyundai Motor (+0.38%).
The KOSDAQ index closed at 838.41, up 0.76 points (0.09%). Foreign investors and institutional investors sold net amounts of 93.8 billion won and 3.4 billion won, respectively, while retail investors bought net amounts of 98 billion won.
The KOSDAQ index opened at 835.23 (-0.29%), rose to 840.85 (0.38%) during trading, and fell to 829.59 (-0.96%).
