KT Genie Music announced on the 17th that it produced and released a physical album titled "TV Anime Pokémon OST Album" in collaboration with Pokémon Korea to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Pokémon.
The album includes eight major opening and ending songs, from aespa's "We Go," the opening theme for the TV anime "Pokémon: Adventures of Rico and Lode," to the latest series "Pokémon: Rising."
The physical album was produced in the form of a Captain Pikachu doll. Inside the doll's hat is a Poké Ball equipped with NFC functionality. Tapping it against the back of a smartphone connects to KT Genie Music's smart album platform app, "Stage Album," allowing users to download and listen to the music. The package includes the Captain Pikachu doll along with an anime art book, photo cards, stickers, and more.
The album has been on sale since the 16th at the pop-up store "Pokémon Mulleungdowon" held in the Atrium on the first floor of Seoul Jamsil Lotte World Mall.
A KT Genie Music official stated, "We produced this 30th anniversary album based on our music business partnership with Pokémon Korea," and added, "We will continue to collaborate by leveraging the synergy between both companies."
