"I have experienced both the internet and mobile revolutions, but AI brings changes far greater in speed, scope, and depth." Yoon Seok-bin, Special Professor at Sogang University's Graduate School of AI and Software Engineering, recently published 'AI Orchestrator and Super One-Person Company,' diagnosing that AI is transforming not just productivity tools but the very structures of corporations, education, and employment. He stated, "As we move from simple chatbots to agentic AI, we are entering a stage where multiple tasks are connected to produce actual results."
Early this year, Professor Yoon arranged for his youngest son, who had just graduated from high school, to experience a six-month AI developer program instead of enrolling in university. This decision came after he and his son visited Alibaba and Unitree in Shanghai and Hangzhou, China, last January. Professor Yoon said, "Rather than spending time aimlessly at a prep academy, I suggested we gain real development experience."
The change he is focusing on is the 'super one-person company' enabled by AI agents. With AI handling planning, development, design, marketing, and other functions, individuals can operate like entire organizations. He noted, "When someone with strong ideas and planning skills effectively directs AI, they can replace an organization."
He also believes AI will disrupt not only education but also venture capital (VC) and the hiring market. As startup costs decrease through AI, he explained, the role of VC in connecting customers, technology, and networks has become more critical than the investment funds themselves.
He emphasized that companies must go beyond merely providing AI tools to employees. Professor Yoon stated, "Individual productivity often increases without translating into company profits. Instead of simply attaching AI to existing tasks, core workflows must be redesigned from the ground up as AI-native processes."
He added, "CEOs must personally use and experience AI to determine how to transform their organizations." He stressed that as AI lowers execution costs, human 'intent' and planning capabilities become increasingly vital. "The baton of AI is already in our hands; what matters now is what we aim to achieve and how we will direct it," he concluded.
