Lee Jun-hee, CEO of SamsungSDS (Samsung SDS), emphasized that "AX (AI Transformation) is not merely about adopting AI to save time and costs; it represents a far more fundamental change." He added, "AX involves completely redesigning business models and work execution methods from the ground up."
Lee (CEO) made these remarks at Real Summit 2026 held at Seoul Samsung-dong COEX on the 8th. He stated, "Companies that achieve AX do not wait for customers to speak before analyzing markets and responding; instead, they react in real time. AI changes tasks, but AX transforms businesses."
He explained, "According to a global market research firm, McKinsey, while 88% of companies have adopted AI in at least one area of their operations, only 6% reported that AI has made a meaningful contribution to corporate profits. There remains a significant gap between AI adoption and the creation of business results."
Lee (CEO) outlined seven key requirements for successful AX: (1) Redesigning processes to enable effective collaboration between AI and humans; (2) Organizing data in formats usable by AI; (3) Establishing efficient operational systems for multiple AI agents; (4) Formulating policies and controls for AI behavior; (5) Ensuring AI security; (6) Building AI-friendly organizational structures; and (7) Driving changes in corporate culture.
On this day, SamsungSDS unveiled its "Multidimensional AI Full-Stack" strategy. This approach integrates end-to-end capabilities covering consulting, development, implementation, and operations based on AI infrastructure, platforms, and solutions, while organically combining industry-specific expertise accumulated across diverse sectors. SamsungSDS stressed that it aims to go beyond simply providing AI technologies to directly connecting them with tangible AX outcomes.
SamsungSDS also officially announced its entry into the RX (Robot Transformation) business sector on this day. It revealed a roadmap to fully expand the scope of AX from digital domains into physical manufacturing environments. Building on 25 years of accumulated experience and capabilities in manufacturing sites, SamsungSDS is developing technologies for robot-driven manufacturing automation and efficient management of entire production processes.
SamsungSDS has validated the transition of manual tasks at actual manufacturing sites through combinations of robotic hardware and physical AI. Starting next year, it plans to fully launch a Robot Orchestration Platform that integrates production facilities and robots into a unified operational system. The company is also expanding collaborations with global partners, including signing strategic partnerships with Walden Robotics, a leading global humanoid robot specialist.
SamsungSDS also introduced new AI features for its AI-based collaboration solution "Briteworks," named "Cowork." Cowork goes beyond merely searching or recommending information; it acts as an AI colleague that autonomously plans necessary tasks when users assign work objectives, then executes end-to-end business processes such as data research, report writing, email dispatch, and schedule registration.
Lee (CEO) said, "Through Real Summit 2026, we hope domestic companies will share solutions that enable them to move beyond simple AI adoption and generate actual business results." He added, "Based on our unique multidimensional AI full-stack technology and a world-class global AI ecosystem, we will accompany customers as partners throughout their AX journey."
