A daughter-in-law was left in shock after learning that her mother-in-law had been spying on her private life through a home camera.
On the 19th, the KBS Joy variety show 'Ask Anything' featured a segment called 'Mini Ask Anything,' where anonymous viewers submitted their troubles for resolution.
During the broadcast, the caller stated, "After getting married, I was happy to have a mother-in-law who took care of me as attentively as my own mother."
The mother-in-law boasted of her sense of awareness, always taking care of whatever the caller needed without being asked. When the caller couldn't buy galbi jjim (braised short ribs) for her husband's birthday due to childcare duties, the mother-in-law would buy the galbi and bring it over. She also sent a massage device via courier when the caller complained of shoulder pain.
One day, the mother-in-law called her son, the caller's husband, and shouted, "Go into the baby's room right now." By the time the caller rushed into the baby's room, the baby was thrashing about alone and on the verge of falling off the bed.
After catching her breath from the scare, the caller suddenly felt something was off and asked her husband, "How did your mother know the baby was about to fall?" The husband deflected, saying, "I don't know. Our mother just has a good intuition."

When the caller suspected the home camera installed in their house, the husband finally explained, "My mother kept asking for photos of the baby, and since I was too lazy to send them every time, I connected her to the home camera. It's been about four months."
All this time, the mother-in-law had been watching her daughter-in-law through the home camera and sending over necessary side dishes, supplements, and other items. The caller expressed shock, saying, "I thought your mother was someone with good intuition and a great sense of awareness, but it turns out the secret behind that sense was the home camera."
When the caller confronted her about the home camera and got angry, saying, "This is an invasion of privacy," the mother-in-law explained, "I wasn't watching to see you. I watched because I missed my grandchild. Since your husband connected it directly, I assumed you had agreed to it." She then pointed out, "You act friendly in front of me, but behind my back, you've been talking bad about me quite a bit."
Hearing this, the caller confessed, "I felt my face burn with embarrassment because I think my mother-in-law saw everything, including intimate moments between my husband and me."
The husband asked about the caller confronting his mother and said, "Isn't it fine if Mom just says she won't watch anymore? Your life isn't anything special, and Mom is not a stranger. Since Mom feels sorry too, you should stop making a fuss," effectively taking his mother's side.
The caller revealed, "Both my husband and mother-in-law treated me like I was being dramatic, saying things like 'Are you some superstar or something?' The more I think about it, the more I feel betrayed by my husband." She then sought advice, asking, "Is it excessive to even consider divorce over this?"
MC Seo Jang-hoon remarked, "You can kiss and change clothes in that room, right?" He added a sharp comment: "(The fact of sharing the home camera) should have been informed in advance. Isn't this illegal filming?"
Nevertheless, Seo Jang-hoon showed a cautious reaction, saying, "I wouldn't say to get a divorce over this issue."
MC Lee Soo-geun responded, "If the husband apologizes to his wife, it doesn't seem like an issue that would lead to divorce."
Seo Jang-hoon advised, "Both the husband and the mother-in-law are saying things that lack common sense. If this problem is brushed off lightly, issues may continue to arise with the caller. I think it would be good for the three of them to gather and talk it out."
