As Jang Seung-jo revealed his true nature as a psychopathic doctor who carves his own initials into patients’ organs in the SBS drama “Doctor X,” Kim Ji-won moved to exact her revenge.
In Episode 5 of “Doctor X: The Age of the White Mafia,” which aired on the 23rd, Gye Su-jung (played by Kim Ji-won) was shown discovering the true identity of Na Dae-il (played by Jang Seung-jo).
Gye Su-jung and intern Park Tae-gyeong (played by Kim Woo-seok) performed emergency surgery on Kwon Chung-hyun, a patient who had previously undergone surgery by Na Dae-il. During the procedure, they discovered that Na Dae-il had carved his initials into Kwon Chung-hyun’s liver.
Gye Su-jung informed Kwon Chung-hyun of this, but Kwon Chung-hyun tried to hush up the incident due to his livelihood as a pharmaceutical company employee. Na Dae-il probed whether his crime had been exposed and brazenly sneered, “Aren’t you alive thanks to me?” provoking public outrage.
Subsequently, Na Dae-il was rushed to the operating table after an issue was detected during a health checkup. As the attending surgeon, Moon Young-jong, became heavily intoxicated, Gye Su-jung ended up performing Na Dae-il’s surgery herself. Before the operation, she intimidated him by saying, “From now on, I will perform all your surgeries.”
After the surgery was completed and Na Dae-il regained consciousness, he checked the recording of the operating room and, overcome with anger and fear, rushed down to the emergency room to find Gye Su-jung. He caused a scene out of fear that Gye Su-jung might have carved something into his organs or harmed him in the same way he had done to others.
To the terrified Na Dae-il, Gye Su-jung delivered the ominous remark, “Do you think I would only carve initials like you?” Losing all reason, Na Dae-il grabbed a scalpel and lunged at Gye Su-jung. When blood began to flow from Gye Su-jung’s arm, Jang So-jang (played by Lee Jeong-eun), who had been watching the scene, swiftly subdued Na Dae-il, delivering a satisfying lesson.
