When allegations surfaced that actress Cha Ye-ryeon had been involved in school violence during her middle school years, she officially denied them through her agency, stating they were "groundless." Nevertheless, the controversy persists as exposé comments regarding her appearance and conduct during her student days continue to flood online.
On the 29th, a post was uploaded to the Nate Board online community claiming that a female actress born in 1985, who attended Junggye Middle School in Nowon-gu, Seoul, had subjected the poster to school violence.
Although the author did not reveal the actress's real name, speculation emerged online pointing to Cha Ye-ryeon based on the birth year and school of origin mentioned in the post.
The author, identified as Person A, stated, "That girl was a devil," claiming that she was frequently bullied by the female actress in places such as the classroom, restrooms, and playground during middle school. The author also described the situation in detail at the time, saying, "My eardrum was torn and my cheeks were swollen."
Person A appealed for the ongoing harm, stating, "Because of that girl, I am still visiting a psychiatric clinic, taking medication, and living with depression and anxiety symptoms." The author added, "Please come down from all broadcasts and YouTube activities, sincerely reflect, and apologize."
In particular, Person A warned that if the actress in question denied the allegations or claimed not to remember, they would publish testimony from classmates and additional evidence.

On the 30th, HB Entertainment, Cha Ye-ryeon's agency, immediately dismissed the school violence allegations, stating, "Upon verification, they are groundless."
However, despite the agency's explanation, comments from people claiming to be former classmates of Cha Ye-ryeon continue to flood in online. Their identities have not been accurately verified.
They left comments such as, "I was waiting for this to blow up," "It was famous," "Classmates and neighborhood residents were trembling in fear," and "It wasn't just one or two victims."
Some netizens claim that they posted comments demanding an explanation of the school violence on Cha Ye-ryeon's personal YouTube channel, only for them to be deleted.
On the other hand, some netizens stated, "Whether it is groundless or not will become clear with time," cautioning against hasty witch hunts and calling for careful judgment.
Cha Ye-ryeon married actor Joo Sang-wook in 2017 and has a daughter. Cha Ye-ryeon operates the YouTube channel "Chef Cha, Cha Ye-ryeon," where she shares cooking content and her daily life as a parent.
