Anna, the wife of soccer player Park Ju-ho, revealed her late disclosure of battling Stage 3 breast cancer and undergoing lymph node removal surgery, stating that she was unable to breastfeed.
On the 29th, a video titled “The breast cancer treatment process I experienced firsthand. From chemotherapy side effects to reconstructive surgery and radiation therapy” was uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘Anna_with_ANNA’.
Anna shared her current status, stating she is currently eight months pregnant. While doing housework, Anna recalled the time she received her breast cancer diagnosis, calmly sharing her experience of battling the disease.
When she received her breast cancer diagnosis, Anna revealed that she had hastily guessed through internet searches that she was at a Stage 1 level. She said she was greatly shocked upon receiving a Stage 3 diagnosis and emphasized, “Do not look up on your own on the internet what type of breast cancer you have or what stage it is before getting an accurate diagnosis.”
Anna stated that after her cancer diagnosis, she received two types of chemotherapy treatment. She explained, “I received injections of AC chemotherapy drugs, which are nicknamed ‘Red Devil.’ It felt surreal, as if the floor suddenly disappeared from under my feet and everything inside my body was draining out. It was like being knocked unconscious by a KO in a boxing match.”
She continued, “The second chemotherapy method was Taxol. After receiving it, I was extremely tired. I felt like I would need to take a very long nap. However, there was no feeling of taking a KO punch like with the AC chemotherapy drugs. However, everyone reacts differently.”
She also explained that she received monthly ovarian suppression injections. Anna stated that while receiving these injections, she experienced menopause symptoms, although it was not actual menopause, saying, “I mainly felt frequent hot flashes and my body felt a bit uncomfortable.”
Anna said, “It wasn’t because of side effects, but there was a reason why it was difficult for me to receive this injection. The place where I received the injections was where young children were undergoing chemotherapy treatment. Seeing those children endure it strongly and bravely made me feel ashamed of complaining about my body being uncomfortable,” evoking sympathy.
In particular, Anna stated, “Because it was Stage 3 breast cancer, the cancer had metastasized to the lymph nodes in my armpit. So I also had to have those lymph nodes removed. There is almost nothing left now.” She calmly added, “My appearance is almost the same as before, but I can no longer breastfeed. Because that part was removed.”
