Actress Sa Mi-ja (86) has expressed interest in moving into a silver town.
On the 18th, Sa Mi-ja shared a video on YouTube showing her visit to a silver town with her husband Kim Gwan-su.
In the video, Kim Gwan-su said he had recommended moving into a silver town three years ago, but Sa Mi-ja opposed it. In response, Sa Mi-ja said, "My mind has changed now. If you say a silver town is good, I can follow you."
The couple visited a high-end silver town equipped with a health management center, putting lounge, gym, billiard room, library, movie theater, and karaoke rooms. It was also introduced that actor Noh Ju-hyun uses this place as a second home.
Sa Mi-ja inspected safety facilities in the living space, including an emergency call system connected to nurses and sensors prepared for fall accidents. She expressed satisfaction, saying, "This is far better than any jeonse (rental deposit) housing."
When Sa Mi-ja asked about the move-in cost for a 28-pyeong unit, the staff explained that the deposit would be between 1.17 billion won and 1.18 billion won. The monthly living expenses, including three meals a day, were 3.15 million won per person and 3.9 million won for two people.
Sa Mi-ja said, "I had only thought about going there, but this is my first time actually visiting. Although the size is one-third of where I currently live, it was like a precious gem. At first, I was lukewarm, but the more I went, the stronger my desire to come back became."
She also stated that she has no plans to live with her children. She said, "Living with my kids doesn't suit me. I don't want to live together," and added, "I think I would come here alone even without my husband."
She continued, "I had planned to move into jeonse housing if my house was sold, but that is no longer necessary. It seems more comfortable for me to come here."
Earlier, last month, Sa Mi-ja announced on YouTube that she had put her 6 billion won home in Seoul Yongsan-gu up for sale.
