Beauty entrepreneur Kim Soo-mi, who divorced Gaeko of the group Dynamic Duo, revealed that she once generated revenue in the hundreds of billions of won.
Kim Soo-mi appeared as a guest on MBC's variety show 'Radio Star,' which aired on the 30th of last month, alongside Park Mi-sun, Kim Jung-nan, and Kim Sae-rom.
On that day, in response to the MCs' remark that she had written a "sell-out myth" in the beauty industry, Kim Soo-mi said, “There was such a time,” adding, “We were stocked in H&B stores and sold out completely. The revenue was quite substantial.”
When Kim Goo-ra expressed curiosity about the specific scale of the revenue, asking, “It must have been around several hundred billion won, right?” Kim Soo-mi acknowledged with a “Yes,” sparking surprise. She also revealed that she had expanded into Japan, drawing attention.
Kim Soo-mi continues to actively work as an influencer by consistently presenting beauty and fashion content recently. She is continuously uploading beauty and fashion content in short-form video format.
As the relevant content gained popularity, Kim Soo-mi said she has been invited to various luxury brand events, stating, “When I go to luxury brand events, they treat me to complete luxury. They cover hotels, limousines, and flights,” which evoked envy from the panelists.
Kim Soo-mi, who announced her divorce in January of this year, also shared updates on her children. She stated, “My son is in his third year of middle school, and my daughter is in her fifth year of elementary school,” revealing that her son had been playing baseball but is currently studying music, while her daughter has shown an interest in art since childhood and dreams of becoming a webtoon artist or similar.
Kim Soo-mi, born in 1983, married Gaeko in 2011 and has one son and one daughter. The couple announced their mutual consent divorce this January, 15 years after their marriage.
In April 2025, Kim Soo-mi appeared on Lee Ji-hye's web variety show 'Not Ugly Narcissist Sister,' where she hesitated to answer the question, “If you were born again, would you marry Gaeko?” Later, when the question changed to “Would you marry a star or not?”, Kim Soo-mi firmly answered, “I would not marry a star.
